We've chosen to upgrade to a new, automatic, 2012 Isuzu DMax LS-U 4X4 Dual Cab.
We made the purchase at Patterson Cheney Isuzu in Dandenong who once again have really looked after us, with a high level of personal attention (ask for Adam Folino if he's still there).

NEW WING MIRRORS
I also fitted Clearview mirrors. An easy home job.
Enhance the rear view tremendously and make the transition from towing to road driving really easy.Just slide them out when towing and back in for normal road driving.
DIESEL TUNING KIT
We've moved the Tunit Diesel Performance unit from the old ute to the new one. Tunit is designed to improve power, torque and efficiency, whilst also improving fuel economy.
The difference is staggering. We did a trip to Sydney, achieving a fuel economy while towing of just 13L/100km.
The increased Torque was also very noticeable. We were able to cruise at 100km/hr, mainly in 4th & 5th gear. Well worth the investment!
BRAKES SERVICED AT HOME
Decided it was time to have the breaks on the R.V. serviced. But where to go for this. Well, we tracked down a Father & Son operation that come to us. Wayne & Steve at Darts Mobile Caravan Services did the whole job on-site. They were very detailed, didn't scrimp on anything, and from what I can see, did a great job.
I can also highly recommend Colin at Caravan Electrics. He's helped me re-wire solar panels, sort out battery issues and set up the Ute to properly charge the batteries when we're travelling.
We've ordered the new ute with the Speedliner spray. They claim this is the toughest protective coating of it's type, and I can believe that.
We had it done on the original ute at Diamond Valley Bumper Bars in Bundoora. Contact Angello or Dominic on: (03) 9466 9111. These guys are perfectionists, and I can't recommend them highly enough.
